The best concert I've ever had

In this week's post I'm going to tell you about one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

To be honest, I had a hard time trying to figure out which concert to tell you about, but since I told you about Japan in my previous post, I'm going to talk about when I had the chance to see a Japanese band in live concert.

So, I'll talk about when I went to see Flow back in 2018. I remember I was really excited when I saw the announcement on Facebook because Flow is the band that made some of the best openings from animes like "Naruto" and "Code Geass". So I was thrilled not only because of their incredible songs and musicianship but also because of some sort of extra emotional connection I have with them. Of course, I bought a general ticket as soon as they were available and I just had to wait until July 15th.

I remember I wanted to get to the venue –the Cúpula Multiespacio– early but I couldn't because I overslept. The night before a friend of mine and I were celebrating our birthdays (his birthday is July 14th and mine is July 13th, that's why) and well, I was hungover haha. So I arrived to the Cúpula just an hour before the show was scheduled to start.

Once I got into the venue, I was a little surprised because I ran into a friend that I didn't know he was going to be there. So we talked a little bit, and he said to me that he was actually working on the production's staff. He even asked me why I didn't tell him before that I wanted to go because he could have given me free tickets. Well, I told him that I just didn't know he was working on the production company, but in that moment I asked him if he could get me a meet & greet pass. HE SAID YES, like it was that simple!!! I was so lucky. Imagine how EXCITED I was.

Well, the show started and it was just amazing. The band was impressed that the crowd knew the lyrics, and during the whole set it was really energetic. They played every song that I was hoping for, and I cried a little bit on the emotional ones.

After the show, in the meet & greet there was a sort of conference between the band and the fans. After that, we were able to take official pictures with the band and shake hands with them (the band's manager told us to be respectful). They gave us an autographed photo of the band as well. It was a perfect day that always makes me smile when I look back to it.
